Production of the Bugatti Chiron has
entered its second half, as the Molsheim automaker has revealed the 250th
example of the hypercar out of a total planned production run of 500. Named the
Chiron Sport “Edition Noire Sportive” and dressed in a matte carbon fiber-look
body with a matching all-black interior, this example was inspired by the
one-off La Voiture Noire.
The latest Chiron to roll out of the
factory won’t be shipped immediately to its new owner as it will be making a
lengthy stop in Switzerland next month for the 2020 Geneva Motor Show where it
will be displayed at the brand’s stand.
The Chiron Noire Sportive, which packs an
8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine, making 1,500 PS and
1,600 Nm of torque, is part of a 20-unit production run,
alongside the Noire Elegance. Bugatti didn’t reveal the price for the specific
model, but the Chiron starts from € 3 million (US$ 3.25 million), so it’s safe to assume it cost its lucky owner a bit more than that.
Bugatti has announced that another 150
Chirons have already been spoken and paid for, which leaves fewer than 100
units available for sale, but you might not want to wait that long as
production of the hypercar is scheduled to come to an end next year.
