The menacing front end staring at you in this teaser image belongs to the Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne, a more exclusive, more powerful and faster version of the regular Carmen. Scheduled to be unveiled at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show next week, the Carmen Boulogne is said to draw on the brand’s racing heritage, featuring unique styling details that make it look even more sporty than its sibling.

The front end boasts a copper-colored grille and matching details such as the yellow spoiler lip and what looks to be a ‘Boulogne’ sticker placed on top of the left headlight. According to PeriodismoDelMotor, the Carmen Boulogne is named after the Hispano Suiza race cars from the beginning of the last century. Those cars managed to put on a show on the roads around Boulogne-sur-Mer, a small French city situated on the north coast of France.

As for performance, all we know is that the Boulogne will be faster than the regular Carmen, which features an 80 kWh battery and a dual-motor setup, sending a combined 1,005 HP to the rear wheels. The Carmen weighs just under 1,690 kg, thanks to its carbon fiber monocoque and body panels.

In a straight line, it can rocket to 100 km/h in under three seconds, before maxing out at an electronically-limited 250 km/h. Since that’s already ridiculously quick, it’s safe to say that the more exclusive Boulogne will find itself among Geneva’s fastest-accelerating cars.
