Like so many of you, if there’s one thing
we’re pretty bummed out about the cancellation of the 2020 Geneva Motor Show
due to the Coronavirus outbreak, it’s the fact that we won’t be seeing any of
Mansory’s projects in the flesh. The tuner, which was planning to reveal a new
logo at the event alongside several custom creations, took to social media to
present their take on the new Mercedes-AMG G63.
The reborn 4×4 from Benz reveals itself
with a body kit that comprises of redesigned front and rear bumpers with skirt
attachments made from carbon fiber, huge fender flares and a new hood scoop.
More carbon fiber can be seen on the roof attachments and extra parts added to
all four fenders and front doors. The blacked-out Panamericana grille, red
accents on the two-tone mirror caps and 24-inch Y-spoke wheels round up the
bling.
An engine upgrade along with a sports
exhaust system lifts the output of the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 from 585 to 720
PS. Mansory hasn’t released performance figures, but
the stock G63 needs just 4.5 seconds from 0-100 km/h, and will reach
240 km/h with the optional AMG Driver’s Package, or 220 km/h without it.
We were curious to see if Mansory has this
G63 listed for sale, so we took to the web and found an ad on Mobile. The
vehicle is advertised at € 329,990 (US$ 361,327), more than twice the MSRP of the
regular G63 AMG in Germany.
