Pininfarina took last year’s Geneva Motor Show by storm with the Battista, a pure-electric hyper GT with mind-blowing specs, and were planning to uncover a special edition model at the 2020 event. Say hello to the new Battista Anniversario, the most powerful road-legal vehicle ever made in Italy.

Limited to just 5 examples, as part of the 150-unit production run of the Battista, it starts at € 2.6 million (US$ 2.87 million) and will enter production, alongside the ‘regular’ model, by the end of the year, in Cambiano, Turin.

The Battista Anniversario is equipped with the Furiosa package, which is now available to the rest of the lineup. It comprises of the carbon fiber front splitter, side blades and rear diffuser, finished in two-tone exposed carbon and Iconica Blu carbon with pin stripes in Bianco Sestriere, exclusive to the special edition. The bespoke rear wing, rear aero fins and other details are also limited to this model. The added parts increase the downforce, offering better stability during high-speed cornering.

Contributing to the enhance looks is the unique combination of three colors: the all-new Grigio Antonelliano, Iconica Blu, which is Pininfarina’s signature shade, and Bianco Sestriere. It takes several weeks to hand-paint each car, as this is “one of the most complex paint finishes in the world”, according to Chief Design Officer, Luca Borgogno. Dropping nearly 10 kg from the weight are the new 21-inch wheels, with center-locking, shod in performance-oriented tires. The Impulso rims complement the options available for the Battista Anniversario.

Equipped with special plaques, the cabin has been dressed in black leather and Alcantara, with blue contrast stitching, seatbelts and 12 o’clock mark on the steering wheel.

The mechanicals carry over, with the four electric motors producing a combined output of 1,900 PS and 2,300 Nm of torque. Pininfarina claims a 0-100 km/h acceleration of under 2 seconds, 0-300 km/h  in less than 12 seconds and a 350 km/h top speed. The 120 kWh battery pack is said to give it a range of over 500 km.
