Volkswagen has announced the sales launch of the T-Roc Convertible. The cars will arrive in the showrooms throughout Germany towards the end of next week priced starting from € 27,495.

The ‘world’s first convertible compact SUV’, as the manufacturer calls it, has no rear doors and sports a retractable soft top that can be raised and lowered automatically within 30 seconds.

The model comes powered by the same engine palette as the SUV it is based upon, namely the gasoline three-cylinder turbo with 115 hp and its four-cylinder counterpart with 150 hp. Both use six-speed manual transmission by default, but those interested in the 150hp version may opt for DSG.

Further options include the R-Line Package, 17- and 19-inch custom wheels, the MIB3 infotainment system with eSIM support, a 12-speaker audio system, and a digital dashboard.
