Lexus’ challenger to Germany’s BMW 5-Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class executive sedans, the GS, has received a new limited edition.

Dubbed the GS Black Line, it builds on the 350 F Sport model, enhancing the looks with glossy black grille inserts and wheels, a black rear spoiler and side mirror caps that contrast with the Ultra White or Caviar exterior colors.

Opening the door reveals the red accents applied to the center console, steering wheel and door cards. The seats feature Rioja Red accents and Black leather, and there is Alcantara trim on the center console, armrest and instrument panel along with red contrast stitching and carbon fiber inserts.

In a premiere for a Black Line series model, the GS is accompanied by a two-piece luggage set that includes an Edge Lightweight 22-inch Continental Carry-on and a 26-inch Medium Travel Case in a black look. Zero Halliburton designed and manufactured both items exclusively for this model.

Available in both rear- and all-wheel drive, the GS Black Line is powered by the 3.5-liter V6 engine that develops 311 hp and 380 Nm of torque. The RWD sedan does the 0-96 km/h in 5.7 seconds and has a 230 km/h top speed, while the AWD variant is 0.1 seconds slower and maxes out at 209 km/h.

Limited to 200 units, the GS Black Line will launch this summer, with pricing to be announced in due course. As a reminder, the standard GS 350 F Sport RWD starts at US$ 52,760, while the GS 350 F Sport AWD can be bought form US$ 54,505.
