Some say that by the time you were done checking out the opening picture, the new-gen BMW 4-Series Coupe has already sniffed you twice. One of the few cars that give a new meaning to the ‘nose job’ term, but definitely not the only Bimmer, the upcoming 4-Series Coupe was spotted out in the open by spy photographers.

It goes without saying that when fitted with the front European plate, BMW’s new coupe looks slightly better, as it hides the new giant kidney grille. Apart from a more official look at the controversial grille, it doesn’t show any new skin as everything else remains wrapped up in the same psychedelic camouflage wrap.

The interior of this right-hand-drive 4-Series Coupe prototype, with German license plates, was still partially covered but we’ve been there already. What you need to remember is that it’s identical to the new 3-Series, because this is pretty much a two-door 3er with a different moniker.

As a result, it will feature the same engine lineup, from the small four-pots to the bigger inline-six units, with the latter including the upcoming M3 and M4, which will employ the twin-turbo 3.0-liter unit of the X3 M and X4 M in a slightly different form. Electrification is of course going to be part of the range, with at least one plug-in hybrid version to be present in the lineup.

A recent report has indicated June as the probable unveiling date, so it won’t be long until the wraps come off to reveal the obvious.
