By now, you’ve probably had enough of 2021
BMW 4-Series spy shots and simply want to see the production car in all its
big-kidneyed glory. We’re afraid you’re going to have to wait a little longer
for that but we believe we have the next best thing to the first official 2021
BMW 4 Series photos. That would be a set of renderings created by Zer.o.wt
using the BMW Concept i4 as a starting point.
This is a legitimate exercise as spy shots
have shown that the upcoming BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe and the i4 electric
vehicle will share the same bodywork and design. Obviously, there will be some
differences between them, mainly details pertaining to the i4’s electric
vehicle status. The i4 will feature unique bumpers with closed-off intakes at
the front and no exhaust pipes at the rear, BMW i’s typical blue accents and
aero wheels.
As for the 4 Series Gran Coupe, it will
probably look 90 percent like in these renderings. Yes, humongous kidney
grilles included. Love them or hate them, but they will be on
every next-generation 4 Series model. As spy shots have shown, the interior
will be identical with the latest 3 Series, with which the upcoming 4 Series
shares its platform.
Expect the 2021 BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe to
feature offer a lineup of turbocharged four-cylinder and six-cylinder gasoline
and diesel engines as well as at least one plug-in hybrid powertrain. BMW might
even offer an M4 Gran Coupe for the first time, though nothing has been
confirmed yet.
