The 2021 Hyundai Elantra (2021 Hyundai Avante) has been launched in South Korea. The prices of the all-new compact sedan start at just KRW 15.31 million.

Hyundai Avante is a compact sedan launched in 1990. The new Avante is the seventh-generation full-change model in five years featuring advanced connectivity and driver assistance systems. The all-new Avante will come with two engine options of Smartstream G1.6 MPi and 1.6 LPi and then add the 1.6 hybrid and 1.6 T N-Line later. It has a new four-door-coupe look with its longer, lower and wider body.

Front highlight is the parametric-jewel-pattern grille that creates an integrated architecture with the headlamp. Bold edge on the side runs constantly from the front to the rear, with a long and low hood giving a feeling of tension. On the rear, high-tech “H-Tail Lamp” with a shape similar to Hyundai’s flying H logo gives more luxurious look.

The interior layout envelops the driver like an airplane cockpit. The exterior color will be available in nine options. The third-generation vehicle platform applied dramatically enhances the overall design, safety, efficiency, power and driving performance of the new Avante, the company said.

The 2021 Avante also is embedded with various driving safety features for all trims like forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian detection, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, high beam assist, driver attention warning system and rearview camera with dynamic guidelines.

Infotainment system applied to all-new Avante includes eight-inch color display audio system with wireless Apply CarPlay and Android Auto, and HD Radio. The 10.25-inch infotainment system with faster processor, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and connected routing are optional. Smartphone-based digital key option that enables door control, car startup, key sharing and personal settings with Bluetooth connectivity also is available.

Pre-orders for all-new Avante start on Mar. 25 at home, and the official launch is slated for next month in Korea and later in the third quarter in the U.S.
