Apparently disappointed with the sales
volumes of its Stinger liftback, Kia Motors will be facelifting it barely three
years after the initial launch. Here are some early shots. The line-topping
2021 Stinger GT should get more kick from its 3.3-liter V6 TT, adding around 15
hp to its current 370 hp. It will also take advantage of a
valve-controlled exhaust system.
As far as the interior is concerned,
additions will include a digital dashboard and a larger 10.25-inch infotainment
display coming to replace the old 8-inch one. On the exterior side of things,
slightly retouched bumpers and brake lights seem the only differences from the
current version.
The refreshed Kia Stinger series should
hit the showrooms throughout South Korea in summer, followed by the
international launch in the second half of 2020.
