Unveiled online a month ago, the McLaren 765LT will soon reach U.S. shores. The order book for the exclusive new Longtail model based on the 720S has officially opened in North America, which means you now know whether or not you can afford it. Well, the recommended retail price in the U.S. is US$ 358,000, with McLaren saying this includes approximately US$ 50,000 worth of options on top of the base price of a 720S Coupe.

Despite the prohibitive tag for most mortals, the British supercar manufacture says its retailers “are already reporting significant interest in the limited volume 765LT.” Available in only 765 units worldwide, the McLaren 765LT comes standard with many exclusive options. On the outside, those include a Carbon Fiber Exterior Upgrade Pack, louvered carbon fiber front fenders, quad-pipe full-titanium sports exhaust system, ultra-lightweight 10-spoke forged alloys with a Platinum finish and titanium wheel bolts, and McLaren Vehicle Lift.

Inside, the limited-run supercars offers an Alcantara LT interior trim, Carbon Fiber Racing Seats or Power Adjust Heated Memory Sports Seats, Carbon Fiber Primary Interior Components Pack, MSO Defined Carbon Fiber Extended Shift Paddles, and McLaren-branded mats on the bare carbon floor.

Also standard are a rearview camera, parking sensors, Power Adjust Steering Column and McLaren 4-speaker or Bowers & Wilkins 12-speaker branded audio systems. Obviously, customers can make their 765LT even more unique via a wide range of MSO Defined and MSO Bespoke options available at an additional cost.

The 765LT is the successor to the 675LT, which reintroduced the Longtail name in 2015. Compared to the lightning-fast 720S on which it’s based, the McLaren 765LT offers an increase of 45 HP and 30 Nm of torque for a total of 755 HP and 799 Nm.

Combined with the 79-kg weight reduction, track-tuned suspension and 15-percent quicker in-gear acceleration, the 765LT is “the most advanced and most rewarding McLaren LT yet,” according to the company.
