The limited edition Aston Martin Vantage
V12 Zagato Heritage TWINS by R-Reforged will go into production this year at a
new UK facility in Warwick. Mind you, they will not be built by Aston Martin or
Zagato. The new facility belongs to R-Reforged, a company owned by
Switzerland’s AF Racing Group. Licensed by Aston Martin, the Coupé and
Speedster TWINS will be made in a total run of 38 units (19 for each body
style).
The cars celebrate the centenary of the
Zagato Atelier (1919-2019) and 60-year long partnership between the Italian
design house and British sports car manufacturer. Offered exclusively in pairs
to 19 customers, the Vantage V12 Zagato Heritage TWINS by R-Reforged are based
on the 2011 Aston Martin Vantage V12 Zagato.
Each features iconic Zagato design cues,
most notably the ‘double bubble’ roof on the Coupé and the exclusive 100th
anniversary gold Z badging. The 19 Coupés and 19 Speedsters (most of which have
already been sold) feature a reworked version of the V12 Vantage’s naturally
aspirated 5.9-liter engine rated at 600 HP (85 HP more than the original).
Both cars feature all-carbon fiber bodies
and active aero systems with deployable rear wings to improve stability at high
speeds. Also new are the center-locking 19-inch bespoke alloy wheels designed
by APP Tech. The first two cars have been specified by Marella Rivolta Zagato,
who co-runs the Italian design house and coachbuilder. She chose gold (Oro
Angelica) and platinum (Platino Acanto) as exterior colors.
Owners will get to specify every element
of the Aston Martin Vantage V12 Zagato Heritage TWINS by R-Reforged. The color
palette will be infinite, offering the opportunity to match the interior and
exterior to any color sample provided by the client. R-Reforged’s second
project, the Aston Martin Vanquish 25 by CALLUM, will also enter production
this year.
