Baojun has released the first interior photos of its new mini EVs, the E300 and E300 Plus. The E300 will be available with a choice of two or three seats, while the E300 Plus will come with four seats. The images make it rather clear that the three- and four-seat versions offer increased passenger capacity at the expense of the luggage compartment.

That’s because the Baojun E300 is only 2,625-mm long, 1,647-mm wide and 1,588-mm high. It has a wheelbase of 1,750 m. The SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture, which builds cars under the Baojun brand, did not reveal exterior photos or the dimensions of the E300 Plus model.

However, the interior photos suggest the E300 Plus features a longer wheelbase than the standard E300. We also learn officially that both mini EVs feature Baojun’s intelligent connectivity system.

According to Chinese media, the base E300 is powered by a 39 HP electric motor that sources energy from a 16.8 kWh lithium-ion battery. The E300 Plus is said to feature a more powerful electric motor with around 55 HP.

What we know for sure is the range offered by Baojun’s new mini EVs. The carmaker said the E300 will have a range of 260 km while the E300 Plus will cover 305 km on a full battery. The tiny 12-inch wheels wrapped in 145/70 tires also play their part in helping the E300 achieve such a remarkable driving range for a 16.8-kWh battery pack.

Baojun will share further details closer to the launch of the E300 and E300 Plus in China later this year.
