Last year, Lumma Design teased a body kit
for the BMW X7, and now they have launched it, albeit with some small
adjustments. Named the CLR X7, it includes aerodynamic upgrades such as the
front and rear wheel arch extensions, combined with new aprons at both ends, as
well as a couple of spoilers, one mounted on the roof and the other one on the
tailgate.
The cost of ordering this body kit from
the German tuner, based south of Stuttgart, is € 16,750. This equals to US$ 18,084
at the current exchange rates, and it’s not the only amount you will have to
pay, as it does not include tax, installation nor painting. More money will
have to be spent on the aftermarket wheels, named the CLR 24 RS. The 10×24-inch
front and 13×24-inch rear set, wrapped in sticky tires in widths of 295 and
355, respectively, are joined by a smaller set, with a 23-inch diameter, known
as the CLR 23 LR.

hasn’t opened up to the camera yet, but Lumma said that they are offering a
bunch of upgrades inside as well. More specifically, the X7 can be tailored to
each client’s taste, with an assortment of leather trim that can be joined by
the aluminum pedals and exclusively embroidered floor mats.
You will have to settle for the standard
output and torque, as the kit does not count any performance mods. In the
States, this means that the xDrive40i spec has to make do with 335 HP and 447 Nm, developed by the 3.0-liter inline-six, while the xDrive50i will
bring the 456 HP 4.4-liter V8 to the party. The M50i model also packs the V8,
although with 523 HP. Local pricing starts at US$ 73,900, US$ 92,600 and US$ 99,600
respectively.
