Unless we’re talking about multi-million
dollar homes on wheels, most of today’s RVs are based on vans for a single
reason: generous interior space. This one though, builds on the Ford F-350, and
it’s called the Nimbl Evolution. Converted by Nimbl, a Sacramento, California
company, it features an entirely new back end, with composite panels that make
up the living area. The design is rather simple, both inside and out, but it
does include everything required from a motorhome.
From the additional batteries that improve
the electrical system, to the induction cooktop and fridge, the build has them
all. It also comes with an 8,000 BTU air conditioner, LED UV water
sterilization system, multi-stage water filtration system, diesel heater and
hot water system, hydraulic lifting roof, 80-gallon fresh water tank and
others.
As an option, it can be equipped with a
microwave and auxiliary generator. The queen-size bed with memory foam mattress
is joined by an upholstered dinette that can be converted into a second bed for
children.
The rear suspension has been upgraded, the
35-inch tires provide a 2.5-inch lift and the 7.3-liter gasoline V8 engine
remains stock. It’s paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission and produces
430 hp and 644 Nm of torque.
Nimbl encourages those who are interested
in purchasing the Evolution Camper to reach out to them directly. No pricing is
listed on their official website, but ExpeditionPortal reports that it starts
at US$ 249,000. This includes the US$ 70,000 vehicle allowance for Ford or Ram.
