With the Porsche 918 Spyder being out of
production for five years now, rumors started circulating that the
Zuffenhausen-based sports car maker was working on a new flagship supercar. The
images shown here could be its official renderings for patent office uses.
Nearly a year ago, Porsche showed us the
917 Concept, which drew inspiration from the predecessor of the
same name. Back in its time, the 917 brought the company much fame at the 24
Hours of Le Mans. The alleged newcomer depicted here looks stylistically close
to the 917, while sporting modern Porsche Taycan headlights. It also looks like
it is a one-seater.
There has been no official comment on the
alleged data leak from Porsche yet, and no information exists regarding the
premiere.
