While the Porsche Taycan was unveiled to the world back in September of last year, the Taycan 4S only broke cover in November at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show. Now, it joins its Turbo and Turbo S siblings in U.S. dealerships. The 4S is the entry-level variant of the Taycan range, priced upwards of US$ 103,800. However, if you opt for the Performance Battery Plus package, that’ll up the MSRP to US$ 110,380.

Of course, getting out there to see one in person is a bit problematic given the ongoing global pandemic, but that doesn’t mean you can’t buy one. Meanwhile, those who have already placed orders can look forward to finally getting their cars in the coming days.

In some states, you can still head over to your Porsche dealership and collect the car in person, or you can instead opt to receive it via contactless home delivery, part of the carmaker’s ‘Porsche at Your Service’ program – this way you won’t have to leave the house, which is definitely for the best.

The Porsche Taycan 4S puts down an impressive 522 HP, although you can boost that number by getting the previously-mentioned 93.4-kWh Performance Battery Plus package, in which case you end up with 563 HP. This configuration will let you get from zero to 96 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. The EPA estimated range for the Taycan 4S is 327 km.
