Unless you’re a die-hard new-gen Toyota GR
Supra fan, you probably cannot tell what’s new other than the wheels just by
looking at these pictures. And that’s fine, in our humble opinion, because
putting more meat on its bones would have probably ruined it.
The tuned Japanese sports car comes from
Dahler and boasts several aftermarket parts, including the stainless steel
exhaust system that promises a more sonorous sound. The height and hardness
adjustable coilovers are signed by the Swiss tuner as well, alongside the
20-inch ultra-light forged wheels, hugged by Michelin rubber.
Dahler has also taken care of the
3.0-liter turbo’d inline-six, feeding it with up to 460 PS and 660 Nm of torque. Choosing the lesser Stage 1 bundle of
upgrades will get you 408 PS and 610 Nm. The 2020
model’s engine pumps out 340 PS and 500 Nm in
stock form, sending the car to 100 km/h in just a little over 4
seconds and up to 250 km/h. With the Stage 2 upgrade, the tuner has
removed the speed limiter.
Dahler is already working on other
components for the GR Supra, including a complete coilover kit that should
improve the handling at the track, as well as a new plug-and-play device that
will further enhance the performance. When they tuned the new BMW Z4 last year,
the company slightly revised the visuals, so we wouldn’t be surprised if a
discreet exterior makeover is in the pipeline for its Japanese cousin from
Toyota too.
