Jeep has just announced the arrival of the
2020 Compass Latitude Sun & Safety, a new trim level that includes a number
of welcome features. The new model, first reported on by Mopar Insiders, is
distinguished from lesser models on a number of fronts. For example, it
includes the Safety and Security Group package that adds Blind Spot and Cross
Path Detection, Park Sense Rear Park Assist System, Rain Sensitive Wipers, and
a Security Alarm.
Additionally, the Jeep Compass Latitude
Sun & Safety includes the US$ 945 Advanced Safety Group with adaptive cruise
control w/ Stop and Go, Advanced Brake Assist, Auto high Beams, Full-Speed
Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Leather Wrapped Steering
Wheel, and a Rear View Auto Dimming Mirror. The most expensive feature that
comes standard is a Dual-Pane Panoramic Sunroof that’s normally a US$ 1,595 option
on lesser models.
Other usually-optional parts to come
standard include Remote Start and 17 x 7-inch aluminum wheels with 225/60R17
BSW All-Season tires. Those in the market for the new trim level have nine
exterior color options; Diamond Black Crystal, Granite Crystal, Billet Silver,
Jazz Blue, Laser Blue, Velvet Red, Redline, Olive Green, and White. The Sun
& Safety is also available with front-wheel drive Compass Latitude models
from US$ 28,815 and the 4×4 variant from US$ 30,315.
Jeep will only sell the Compass Latitude
Sun & Safety from now until the end of the 2020 model year.
