Roughly a year ago, Lexus unveiled the updated 2020 GX 460 for North America and now the luxury SUV has received the same makeover in Eastern Europe and certain regions of Asia. Yes, the GX 460 has been available in Europe for quite some time, but only in Russia, Ukraine and the Caucasus region, as well as in the Central Asian republic of Kazakhstan.

For 2020, the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado-based SUV brings styling enhancements inside and out, spearheaded by the new spindle grille design, ‘triple eye’ LED headlights and new interior color and trim options.

More minor exterior modifications include a smaller Lexus emblem at the back, new satin metal trim around the license plate, and the removal of side moldings for a cleaner look. Lexus has also added new paints to the lineup: Sonic Titanium, White Pearl, Mercury Grey, Black, Starlight Black, Garnet Red, Fire Agate and Deep Blue.

Inside, the 2020 Lexus GX 460 gains an all-new Dark Rose optional finish while a Grey Sapele wood trim is also newly available matched with aluminum detailing. The multi-function three-spoke steering wheel has been revised as well and a 4.2-inch full-color TFT display now sits at the center of the instrument binnacle. Two extra USB outlets have been added for rear passengers and the wellbeing of occupants is ensured by a new Cabin Clean Air Filter.

In addition to the styling tweaks, the 2020 Lexus GX 460 also brings new technology options, including Lexus’ Multi-Terrain Monitor and Panoramic View Monitor, which provide clear sight of the vehicle’s immediate surroundings for easier and safer maneuvering.

Furthermore, the Multi-Terrain Select system which adjusts the vehicle’s settings for different off-road surfaces now includes Crawl Control. This mode lets the driver concentrate on the steering while the acceleration and brake pressure are automatically controlled to keep a low speed when traveling over difficult terrain.

Power continues to come from a 4.6-liter V8 petrol engine which produces 296 PS and 438 Nm of torque in this specification. The engine is mated to a six-speed ECT-i automatic transmission, a Torsen limited-slip center differential and four-wheel drive.
