Ford is going to reveal the new 2021 F-150
on Thursday, June 25, during an online event that will be live-streamed. “The
all-new 2021 Ford F-150 will be revealed during an online event on Thursday,
June 25 at 8:00 p.m. ET”, Ford told us in a statement. The Detroit automaker
said it would provide more details on how to view the online presentation of
the 2021 Ford F-150 in the coming weeks.
Nothing is official just yet, but the 2021
Ford F-150 is expected to introduce an array of new technologies along with a
new electrified powertrain option next to an updated range of existing engines.
The design of America’s best-selling truck will be largely evolutionary as
portrayed by our spy shots; the 2021 Ford truck is set to get a revised front end
with a new grille and headlights that incorporate new C-shaped daytime running
lights.
Bigger changes are expected inside, with
Ford giving the F-150 a healthy dose of new tech, including a digital
instrument cluster and a bigger infotainment screen that’s expected to be at
least 12 inches in diameter.
Previous reports suggested that the 2021
Ford F-150 will be offered with six engine options. These include a 3.3-liter
V6 with 290 HP, a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 with 325 HP, a 3.5-liter Ecoboost V6
with 375 HP, and the 5.0-liter V8 with 395 HP. The range will also include a
3.0-liter PowerStroke V6 diesel but the headlines will mostly focus on the
rumored new hybrid powertrain that combines the 3.5-liter V6 with an electric
motor.
