Callaway has just unveiled its newly-modified Chevrolet Camaro LT1 SC630 that starts at under US$ 54,000 yet churns out no fewer than 630 hp. The muscle car is offered in LT1 and SS guises and, as the name implies, comes outfitted with Callaway’s SC630 package that includes a Gen 3 TVS2300 supercharger and Callaway-patented TripleCooler intercooler. Working with a new high-flow intake and ECU calibration, the Camaro SC630 boasts an impressive 630 hp and 827 Nm of torque.

While many similar upgrade packages often pair engine modifications with wild exterior parts from the aftermarket, Callaway’s Camaro SC630 remains extremely subtle. The only give away of its identity is new badging across the exterior. Some additional changes are found in the cabin, including Callaway door sill panels, badging, and floor mats. Under the hood, owners will also find a unique build plaque.

For shoppers who don’t think 630 hp and 610 lb-ft represents enough muscle, Callaway also offers an SC750 package that is based around the flagship Camaro ZL1 model. This car benefits from all the same upgrades as the lesser SC630 model but churns out 750 hp and 1,000 Nm.

Callaway says its SC630 Camaro is the “most powerful new car in the world under US$ 54,000.” While that may be true for a car coming from a company with the prestige of Callaway, you can find more powerful new cars out there for less money. Late last year, a Ford dealership in Tennessee made headlines after it began selling supercharged 2020 Ford Mustang GT models with 700 hp for a mere US$ 39,995.
