Since late 80s, Callaway Automobile has
been famous for its twin-turbo upgrade kits for the entire Chevrolet Corvette
range. Now, the company finally offers a boost for the previous-gen Z06 ‘Vette.
The so-called Callaway SC757 Tuning Kit
includes a high-end supercharger, an intercooler system, a carbon-fiber engine
lid and other components. Once installed, they help the 6.2-liter V8 to produce
additional 107 hp and 173 Nm of torque. In absolute
figures, this means up to 757 hp and 1,053 Nm.
Tuned like this, the supercar zaps from
zero to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and covers a quarter-mile distance in 10.5
seconds. The SC757 kit is available at authorized Chevrolet dealerships
throughout the United States and comes with a warranty valid for 36 months or
36,000 miles (58,000 kilometers) of use, whichever comes first.
