A few months after the Lynk & Co 05
was officially presented for the Chinese market in December last year, we’ve
stumbled across some images of a special limited-edition variant.
These photos, picked up from Autohome,
reveal that the Lynk & Co 05 Limited Edition was unveiled back in March at
a low-key event in China. The model beautifully blends together gloss black
paint with red accents to make for quite an eye-catching look.
We can see that there is
a prominent red accent running across the front fascia. This red theme then
extends over the top of the side windows and along either side of the rear
window. The rest of the bodywork is painted gloss black, to go with the black
plastic side skirts and wheel arches. The 05 Limited Edition also sports a set
of distinctive 20-inch matte black wheels, plus a ‘Limited Edition’ badge on
the tailgate.
This theme is continued in the cabin where
the 05 Limited Edition sports a steering wheel clad in black Nubuck suede, a
material that also stretches across the center of the dashboard and through to
the door panels. The soft-touch suede also covers the sporty seats, while
matching the red exterior accents are red seat belts, red stitching throughout
the cabin, and red accent lighting. The interior of the 05 Limited
Edition, as well as lesser variants, looks well laid out and a very pleasant
place to sit, making it a shame that overseas markets have yet to receive it.
Powering the Lynk & Co 05 Limited Edition
is the same 2.0-liter engine as seen in other models, with 251 hp and 349 Nm of torque, mated to an eight-speed transmission powering all four
wheels.
