A handful of images reportedly showing the
facelifted Bentley Bentayga have appeared online. While we are unable to verify
the authenticity of these photos, we have known about Bentley developing an
updated Bentayga for quite some time.
If these photos are the real thing, it’s
clear this is a very mild facelift. Most notably, the quad headlights are
slightly more oval-shaped than those of the outgoing model. In addition,
Bentley’s designers have created a new lower grille and re-shaped air intakes
housing smaller fog lights. The front grille surround has also been smoothed
out to give the luxurious SUV a nicer overall look.
No images showing the rear of the
facelifted Bentayga have hit the web just yet but we expect to see new
taillights and a different bumper. As for the interior, the modifications
appear minor. The most notable updates include a new fully-digital gauge
cluster and re-designed air conditioning/heating vents. The central
infotainment system has also been enlarged and is no longer flanked by physical
buttons or dials.
We don’t expect to see any changes made to
the Bentayga’s range of available powertrains. Consequently, the least powerful
model, the Bentayga Hybrid, will likely retain the current model’s turbocharged
3.0-liter V6 with a 17.3 kWh battery pack and delivering 443 hp and 700 Nm of torque. Sitting above this powertrain will be a twin-turbo
4.0-liter V8 with 542 hp and 770 Nm while the flagship twin-turbo
6.0-liter W12 comes with 600 hp and 900 Nm in standard guise or 626
hp and 900 Nm in the Bentayga Speed.
