Earlier this year, Polish tuner Carlex Design dropped CGIs of a spectacular new project based on the Mercedes-AMG G63, called the Yachting Limited Edition. The company has released actual photos of the first finished vehicle that has already been shipped to a customer in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

As the name suggests, the G 63 Yachting Limited Edition takes inspiration from luxury yachts and targets “enthusiasts of luxury and marine style”. Most of the upgrades happen in the cabin, but before we get to them, it’s worth mentioning that the exterior features changes as well.

The most obvious is the two-tone livery combining a satin black upper body with a lower body available in polar white or brushed silver. The brushed roof of the vehicle matches the lower half, with other exterior changes including bespoke 22-inch brushed alloys and a custom spare wheel cover.

As with most Carlex creations, the Mercedes-AMG G63 Yachting Limited Edition’s party piece is the interior, available in two handcrafted marine versions. One combines off-white leather with Alcantara, while the other combines cognac leather with light accents. Regardless of the chosen interior configuration, the headliner is decorated with a glossy flower of the winds embroidery, while the floor is completely covered in fine wood. Matching wood trim is also fitted to the steering wheel, dashboard and door panels.

There are no powertrain modifications, but then again, the Mercedes-AMG G63 hardly needs them. In stock form, the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 pumps out 585 PS and 850 Nm of torque. That’s enough to warrant a 0-100 km/h time of 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 240 km/h with the optional AMG Driver’s Package.
