A tipster recently sent an intriguing image appearing to show a mysterious new Rolls-Royce model. We’re told that it likely shows an upcoming Rolls-Royce that is quite a bit different than any of the brand’s current models.

The photo reveals an intriguing roof design that could either be made up of gullwing doors, Targa-top style panels, or individual glass panels over both the passenger and driver. Elsewhere, we can see the vehicle lacks any kid of traditional wing mirrors and instead, appears to have small rear-facing cameras.

Although it is hard to judge the proportions of the car from this angle, it looks relatively small and appears to have just two doors. If this teaser image is legitimate, we have an inkling it could be previewing the latest one-off model that Rolls-Royce has produced for a wealthy client. If that’s the case, it could follow on from the $12.8 million Rolls-Royce Sweptail that was unveiled at Concourso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in May 2017.

The tipster speculates the car would have been unveiled at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August but that event, as well as the broader Monterey Car Week around it, has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. While that likely means we won’t see the car in the flesh for quite some time, the emergence of this darkened image may suggest the British company will unveil the vehicle through an online presentation in the not too distant future.
