The Jeep Gladiator lineup is expanding as the company has introduced the new Altitude variant. Based on the Gladiator Sport S, the Altitude embraces the black-out trend as it features black badging and a black hardtop. The model also rides on 18-inch aluminum wheels which have a Granite Crystal finish as well as Bridgestone Dueler All-Terrain tires.

Elsewhere, there are body-color fender flares and a body-color grille with Dark Gray accents. Those same accents can also be found on the headlight rings. Interior changes are minor, but drivers will find black cloth seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with black stitching. The model also has Wizard Black trim and Wizard Black bezels.

In terms of equipment, there’s air conditioning, power windows and 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The Gladiator Altitude also comes with remote keyless entry and an eight-speaker audio system. Power is provided by a familiar 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that produces 285 hp and 353 Nm of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission which is paired to a standard four-wheel drive system.

The Gladiator Altitude will arrive at dealerships shortly and pricing starts at $40,340 – excluding a $1,495 destination charge.
