While we are waiting for Lamborghini to
unveil the SCV12 track-exclusive monster later today, the automaker has
surprised us with an exclusive motor yacht. Called the ‘Tecnomar for
Lamborghini 63’, it’s the result of a collaboration between Automobili
Lamborghini and The Italian Sea Group. The name is a clear reference to
Lamborghini’s 1963 foundation as well as the ship’s length of 19.2
meters, but the motor yacht has a lot more in common with the Italian brand’s
supercars than just the name.
Designed with input from Lamborghini’s
Centro Stile, the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 takes inspiration from the Sián
FKP 37 hybrid super sports car. The exterior design is characterized by a super
sporty silhouette, with the hull and the superstructure created from a
high-performance shell developed by naval engineers.
There are hints of the Miura and the
Countach in details of the hull as well, while the hard top is inspired by Lamborghini
roadsters. The bow lights are an homage to the Lamborghini Terzo Millennio
concept car and the Sián FKP 37 – both distinctive for their Y-shaped front
lights.
The interiors of the Tecnomar for
Lamborghini 63 combine high-tech design based on super-performing materials for
weight and function, combined with Lamborghini’s iconic clean lines, hexagon
shapes, Y-motif and materials.
The instrument panel resembles a
Lamborghini car cockpit, integrating all navigation and control systems. Carbon
fiber details are aplenty, with Lamborghini’s Carbon Skin used in the sports
seats and on the helm, which is styled as a Lamborghini supercar steering
wheel. The start/stop buttons (there are two, one for each engine) are exactly
the same as the one used to start the engine in a Lamborghini car.
The motor yacht is offered in fully
customizable colors and materials in similar fashion to Lamborghini’s Ad
Personam personalization program. Customers can choose from extensive exterior
colors and livery options, while the interior comes in two versions, each
available with an extensive combination of materials.
The performance of the exclusive speed
boat is worthy of the Lamborghini name. Two 24-liter MAN V12 diesel engines
produce 2,000 PS each for a total of 4,000 PS,
allowing the motor yacht to reach a top speed of 60 knots (111 km/h).
This makes it the fastest of the Tecnomar fleet, thanks in part to a low weight
of 24 tons. The first Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 boat will be
available at the beginning of 2021.
