The Ram 1500 TRX might have stolen its thunder, but Dodge has announced the Durango SRT Hellcat will be priced from US$ 80,995. Costing US$ 18,000 more than the Durango SRT 392, the Durango SRT Hellcat has a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 710 hp and 874 Nm of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a standard all-wheel drive system.

This enables the model to rocket from 0-96 km/h in 3.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 290 km/h. It’s also one of few vehicles in the world that can tow 3,946 kg and run the quarter mile in less than 12 seconds.

If don’t need the bragging rights, the US$ 62,995 Durango SRT 392 has a 6.4-liter V8 engine pumping out 475 hp and 637 Nm of torque. Due to the lower output, the dash to 96 km/h takes 4.4 seconds and the quarter mile time increases to 12.9 seconds. Further down the trim ladder are models with 3.6-liter V6 and 5.7-liter V8 engines. The V6 produces 295 hp and 353 Nm of torque, while the V8 cranks out 360 hp and 528 Nm.

The entry-level Durango SXT starts at $31,765 and comes equipped with LED lighting units and 18-inch alloy wheels. The model also has a tri-zone automatic climate control system, an 8.4-inch infotainment system and seating for up to five people.

The Durango GT begins at US$ 35,965 and adds a dual exhaust system, additional body-color accents and larger 20-inch wheels. Other niceties include a 3rd row seat, a power driver’s seat and a rear park assist system. The US$ 45,305 Durango R/T has a standard 5.7-liter V8 engine as well as a sport-tuned suspension. The model also sports heated leather seats, rain-sensing wipers, a power steering column and a larger 10.1-inch infotainment system.

The luxurious Durango Citadel starts at US$ 47,805 and has platinum exterior accents as well as a sunroof. The model also boasts heated / ventilated Nappa leather seats and second row captain chairs that are separated by a center console. While that’s just a brief overview of the Durango lineup, dealers are currently accepting orders and a configurator should be launched shortly. However, the Durango SRT Hellcat won’t go up for order until this fall and it will only be available for one model year.
