Subaru has updated the Legacy sedan  for the 2021MY introducing new gear such as adaptive LED headlights, passenger seatbelt reminder and rear seat reminder to prevent child and / or pet entrapment which is now standard on all models. Available from US$ 22,895 (MSRP), US$ 150 more than the previous model year, the 2021 Legacy comes in six trim levels, named Base, Premium, Sport, Limited, Limited XT and Touring XT.

The entry-level grade has standard EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, remote keyless entry, a 7-inch infotainment system with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and the 2.5-liter boxer engine that’s paired to a CVT and puts out 182 HP and 239 Nm of torque. The sedan can be enhanced with the Alloy Wheel Package, for US$ 350.

The Legacy Premium starts at US$ 25,145 and adds a new exterior color, called the Brilliant Bronze Metallic, which can be combined with the Black or Ivory interior. It also gets dual-zone climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, 16.6-inch infotainment system and All-Weather Package. Options include the keyless entry & go, LED fog lamps and blind spot detection with lane change assist and rear cross traffic alert for US$ 1,000, and the TomTom sat-nav and power moonroof for US$ 2,595.

With an MSRP of US$ 27,095, the Legacy Sport adds 18-inch wheels, a different grille, body colored rocker trim and trunk spoiler, LED fog lamps, Crystal Black Silica look for the side mirror caps and unique charcoal gray upholstery with red stitching. The sat-nav, power moonroof, reverse automatic braking and blind spot detection with lane change assist and rear cross traffic alert are available at US$ 2,245.

From US$ 29,895, the Legacy Limited offers rear A/C outlets, keyless entry & go, heated rear seat backs, leather-trimmed upholstery, reverse automatic braking and blind spot detection with lane change assist and rear cross traffic alert. The option package includes the sat-nav, Harman Kardon premium audio, power moonroof and heated steering wheels for US$ 2,045.

If you want the turbocharged 2.4-liter boxer engine, then you will have to go for the Limited XT, which starts at US$ 34,445 and adds all of the optional extras included in Limited trim level.Finally, the Legacy Touring XT comes from US$ 36,145, builds on the Limited XT and boasts Sierra Tan Nappa leather upholstery and 180-degree front view monitor.
