Brabus has introduced a selection of parts
for the most versatile member of the compact Mercedes-Benz family, the GLB. The
SUV, which is a more practical, taller and roomier take on the GLA, sports a
new two-part front spoiler, as well as new side air intakes. The LED modules
mounted on the roof improve visibility at night when using the high beams, and
a new rear spoiler has been attached to the tailgate.
A set of four black chromed exhaust tips, 90 mm in diameter are aimed at models equipped with the AMG Line
package, and improving the stance are the 18-, 19- or 20-inch wheels, with the
pictured car riding on the latter, with a 10-spoke pattern and 8.5 inches in
width. You can choose the 255/40 tires from Continental, Pirelli and Yokohama.
The sports springs lower the ride height
by about 30 mm, whereas owners who tend to take their rides off
the beaten path every once in a while can order the springs for the all-wheel
drive versions of the vehicle that elevate the ground clearance by around 35 mm compared to the standard versions.
A performance kit for the GLB 250 has been
launched as well, lifting the power of the 2.0-liter engine from 221 HP and 350 Nm of torque, to 267 HP and 430 Nm. In this form, the 0-100 km/h takes 6.6 seconds and
top speed is 240 km/h.
Other power upgrades, for the gasoline and
diesel versions of the GLB, are currently in development at Brabus. Anodized
aluminum scuff plates with the tuner’s logo, special floor and trunk mats and
fine leather appointments in a wide variety of colors can be found at Brabus.
