Chrysler introduced the facelifted
Pacifica earlier this year, and now the company has revealed pricing will start
at US$ 35,045. Set to arrive at U.S. dealerships late this year, the 2021 Pacifica
costs UD$ 1,000 more than its predecessor but features updated styling, improved
technology and additional standard equipment.
Kicking things off is the entry-level
Pacifica Touring which has 14 newly standard safety features including adaptive
cruise control, automatic high beam headlights, forward collision warning, lane
departure warning and pedestrian automatic emergency braking. The model also
sports LED lighting units, power sliding doors and a power liftgate.
Inside, drivers will find a new 10.1-inch
Uconnect 5 infotainment system and a soft-touch instrument panel with accent
stitching. The model also has eight-way power front seats, a tri-zone automatic
climate control system, second-row sunshades and a 7-inch driver information
display. There’s also seven-person interior with Stow ‘n Go seats. Power comes
from a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that produces 287 hp and 355 Nm of torque. For an extra US$ 2,995 customers can add all-wheel
drive.
Buyers can also opt for a plug-in hybrid
variant which starts at US$ 39,995 and has a 3.6-liter V6 engine, two electric
motors and a 16 kWh battery pack. This gives the van a combined output of 260
hp and an electric-only range in excess of 48 km.
The Pacifica Touring L starts at US$ 38,145
and features chrome exterior accents as well as an upgraded interior with
perforated leather seats. Other highlights include heated front seats, a heated
steering wheel, third-row sunshades and a second-row USB charging port. The
Pacifica Limited begins at US$ 45,845 and comes standard with the plug-in hybrid
powertrain. However, customers can also opt for the all-wheel drive variant
which retails for US$ 48,390.
Regardless of which powertrain is
selected, the van comes nicely equipped with Nappa leather seats, a wireless
smartphone charger and a 13-speaker Alpine premium audio system. Buyers will
also find ventilated front seats, a sunroof, GPS navigation and a premium
center console. Other goodies include power folding mirrors as well as a
hands-free function for the sliding doors and liftgate.
The range-topping Pacifica Pinnacle is new
for 2021 and it’s billed as a “luxurious living room on wheels.” It features
Caramel Nappa leather seats with quilted bolsters and perforated inserts. There
are also second-row captain’s chairs with pillows featuring an embossed
Chrysler logo. Elsewhere, the model has a special center console, piano black
trim and wood accents. Other highlights include berber floor mats, a suede
headliner and 20-inch wheels. The van also has a rear seat entertainment
system, platinum chrome exterior accents, a FamCAM interior camera and an
extensive list of driver assistance systems. The hybrid variant starts at US$ 50,845 and the all-wheel drive model will set you back US$ 53,390.
