Lexus is introducing a new Premium Edition
model for the ES 300h range in the UK market, adding more value to its hybrid
mid-size sedan. The new Lexus ES Premium Edition offers extensive additional
features that are worth more than £ 3,000 but it carries just a £ 550 premium
over the entry-level SE trim level it’s based on. Blind Spot Monitor and Rear
Cross-Traffic Alert are now standard across the range of the Lexus ES.
Standard features include 18-inch alloy
wheels, a 12.3-inch infotainment system with navigation and DVD player, a
heated steering wheel, a wireless smartphone charger, a heated windshield, and
more. Prices for the new Lexus ES 300h Premium Edition start from £ 35,750.
Lexus has also added more content to the Tech and Safety Pack, which is offered
as an option with ES F Sport models. The pack now includes the 12.3-inch
infotainment system with navigation, along with “triple-eye” LED headlights, a
heated steering wheel, and a wireless smartphone charger.
The F Sport variant of the Lexus ES comes
equipped with performance dampers, an adaptive variable suspension, F Sport
exterior and interior styling details, a set of 19-inch alloy wheels, rear
privacy glass, and more. A 2021 Lexus ES 300h F Sport fitted with the Tech and
Safety Pack is priced under below the £4 0,000 threshold for company car
tax-payers, at £ 39,255.
At the top of the range sits the Lexus ES
Takumi, which features a 17-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, a 12.3-inch
infotainment system with navigation, semi-aniline leather upholstery, Shimamoku
wood trim inlays, a hands-free power boot lid, and the option of digital
cameras instead of side view door mirrors. The hybrid powertrain of the 2021
Lexus ES 300h remains the same, meaning a 2.5-liter four-cylinder petrol
working together with an electric motor for a combined 215 HP and a combined
60.1 mpg UK (4.7lt/100km).
The 2021 Lexus ES 300h is now on sale,
with first deliveries expected to commence this October.
