China is home to more electric vehicle brands than any other country, and one of the newest goes by the name of Neta. The EV maker, which sits under the umbrella of Hozon Auto, has unveiled a striking concept dubbed the Eureka 03 at the ongoing Beijing Auto Show. The concept has been designed to preview an upcoming mid-range electric sedan that Neta will position as a rival to the Xpeng P7 and Tesla Model 3. Admittedly, the Neta Eureka 03 has a much sleeker design than either of those two models.

Up front, it has a set of intriguing LED headlights and daytime running lights in the shape of a horizontal ‘Y’, which meet in the middle of the front fascia where there is a large illuminated ‘V’. The Neta concept also includes a small faux front grille with a ‘Eureka 03’ script.

When viewed from the side, the sleek and low-slung shape of the car becomes particularly apparent. For example, there are tiny cameras in the place of traditional wing mirrors as well as futuristic wheels aimed at improving aerodynamics. The interesting looks continue at the rear with aggressive taillights and an LED light bar. There is also a vertical third brake light and a small rear spoiler not dissimilar to what you’ll find on the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S.

Neta hasn’t released technical details about the concept’s powertrain, but says it will be able to hit 100 km/h in 4 seconds and has a range of 800 km on the NEDC cycle. According to the company, it also has a Level 4 autonomous driving system.

The production model is expected to hit the Chinese market in 2022.
