Following the Mercedes-AMG G63 Yachting
Edition, Carlex Design will be giving a similarly opulent treatment to the new
Land Rover Defender. According to the Polish tuner, the Land Rover Defender
Yachting Edition will be “made for those who prioritize luxury, love sunny,
marine style, and need off-road performance and reliability.” What you’re
looking at right now are CGIs but we’re sure Carlex Design will turn them into
reality pretty soon.
As with the G63 tweaked by Carlex Design,
the Land Rover Defender Yachting Edition will feature silver painted and hand
brushed lower half of the bodywork and roof, as well as tapering rims. The SUV
will also sport the flower-of-the-winds motif engraved on the spare wheel
cover, as well as custom emblems, wrap and lustrous stripes on the roof. In
contrast with the bodywork’s silver paint, the bonnet, pillars and lower parts
of the bumpers and doors are finished in black.
While the exterior looks striking, it’s
nowhere near as special as the cabin. That’s hardly surprising given that the
Polish company’s specializes first and foremost in overhauling car interiors.
Carlex Design will offer the cabin with two available combinations: cream
upholstery with wooden decors, and a caramel-hued version with light inserts.
Both look will feature brushed silver
elements as a nod to the exterior paint, reshaped seats for a sporty touch, and
wood trim on the door panels, center console, and dashboard. A wooden steering
wheel cover and wooden floor will round out the modifications.
