Walkinshaw Performance (WP) has announced a new Fury Pack for the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 in Australia. GM’s partner Down Under is offering visual upgrades and performance parts for the full-size pickup truck. Available exclusively for models remanufactured by HSV and equipped with the 6.2-liter V8 engine, the Fury Pack includes a WP cat-back sports exhaust system and a 2-inch lift kit for the suspension courtesy of 35-mm MTV dampers.
The suspension upgrade is designed to
maintain the truck’s on road handling as well as comfort and stability on harsh
terrain; it’s also said to improve towing stability and tracking when hauling
heavy loads, and body control across all applications. Walkinshaw Performance
performed a 14,000-kilometer lap of Australia over the harshest
terrain to validate the hardware.
The package also adds custom Method alloys
in a rally design, available with a diameter of 18 inches on the Fury Pack 1 or
20 inches on the Fury Pack 2. The rims are shod with co-branded WP &
Goodyear A/T tires in 295/65 R18 or 285/60 R20 sizes. The 20-inch rims are only
available with the brake upgrade pack, which brings six-piston calipers and
410-mm (16.1-in) rotors on the front axle.
Both the Fury Pack 1 and Fury Pack 2 bring
aesthetic upgrades including a Fury decal kit, Fury build plate, Walkinshaw
Performance Shadow Chrome Tailgate Badge, and Walkinshaw Performance Gift Pack.
Regardless of the Fury Pack chosen, the 6.2-liter V8 delivers 420 HP and 624 Nm of torque and is hooked to a 10-speed auto
transmission and full-time all-wheel drive.
