BMW is introducing the first special edition of the new M4 Competition just a few weeks after the model’s official debut; this is the new M4 Competition by Kith. Limited to just 150 examples worldwide, the new special edition of the M4 Competition was created in collaboration with lifestyle brand Kith, featuring unique exterior and interior design details.
You could say that the new BMW M4
Competition by Kith pays tribute to the original M3, with the red example you
see in the images finished in the same Cinnabar Red shade that was originally
used in the E30 M3 and is no longer available for the regular BMW range. Other
details around the limited edition M4 Competition include a black Kith logo
merged with the classic M stripes and an altered BMW badge with an extra ring
around it in the classic light blue, dark blue, and red colors. Customers will
be also able to choose between the Frozen Black, Frozen Dark Silver, and Frozen
Brilliant White matt paint finishes.
BMW will offer as an option a carbon-fiber
roof panel with grey Kith lettering and M stripes woven into the roof surface.
The interior of the new M4 Competition by Kith features a pair of tri-color M
Carbon bucket seats, which add light blue and red to the black Merino leather
upholstery for an impressive result. Kith lettering is also embossed into the
black leather of the front and rear headrests, with the center console hosting
an exclusive badge.
Nothing has changed under the skin,
compared to a standard M4 Competition; power still comes from a twin-turbo
3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that produces 503 HP and 650
Nm of torque. BMW will offer the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system as an option,
just like in the regular M4.
Kith’s founder Ronnie Fieg happens to be a
big BMW enthusiast, owning a pristine example of an E30 M3 himself, with Kith
to also offer a 96-piece collection of exclusively designed apparel and
accessories in all its stores and online.
