While General Motors has killed off the Holden brand in Australia and New Zealand, Walkinshaw Performance is targeting owners of the Colorado with a tuning pack. Officially dubbed the ‘Colorado 550 Pack by Walkinshaw Performance’, it brings revised looks combined with some relatively minor technical improvements, wrapping everything up into a kit that is limited to 100 units.
Right from the start, it is clear that the
front end of the pickup truck has been changed, with emphasis on the new grille
that boasts the Walkinshaw logo, a different bumper with red recovery hooks and
a bonnet scoop. The ‘550’ decals adorn the hood and the lower sides of the
doors and the vehicle sports wheel arch attachments on all four corners and,
according to the company, a tailgate applique that’s not visible in the pics
they have released.
As for technical improvements, these
revolve around the suspension lift kit and new forged aluminum black wheels,
which measure 10×18 inches in size and are shod in 285/60 Cooper Zeon LTZ
tires. In order to spot the final feature of the tuned Colorado, you will have
to pop the hood open, as that is where it is stamped with the ‘Walkinshaw
Performance Build Plate X/100’ that further highlights the kit’s limited
availability.
Suitable to all Colorados, from the 2018
to 2020 model years, the pack is available for order. Pricing details haven’t
been announced yet, so if you’re interested, maybe you should consider getting
in touch with Walkinshaw Performance.
