The forthcoming Genesis GV70 has been spied testing out and about with its production-ready skin. This isn’t the first time we have seen the GV70 during testing. In fact, we first spotted it back in October 2019 but that prototype had many fake parts. This latest prototype is bathed in black body cladding but clearly features the final production bodywork beneath.

Up front, recent teaser images published by the South Korean car manufacturer has revealed that the GV70 will feature ‘Quad Lamp’ headlights, a large grille, and prominent air intakes up front. These headlights are visible on this prototype but the company’s engineers have done a good job hiding the rest of the front fascia.

Elsewhere, we can see that this prototype features the same intriguing spoke design as recently teased by Genesis. Visible at the rear are quad LED taillights, the outline of an aggressive diffuser, and two large circular tailpipes.

Genesis has made an effort to hide the C- and D-pillars from prying eyes on this prototype but teasers have previously revealed this area will include angular side windows between the two pillars, as well as a roofline that aggressively tapers down to a spoiler over the rear window.

The Genesis GV70 will be underpinned by a rear-wheel drive architecture that offers an all-wheel drive system, much like the updated G70. In fact, it’s very likely that the GV70 could be offered with the same powertrains as the G70, including a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 249 hp and 353 Nm of torque and a twin-turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 with up to 365 hp and 510 Nm.
