The Genesis family will soon grow with the addition of its second SUV in the form of the GV70 and these renderings provide us with an excellent look at the vehicle’s exterior design. The South Korean automaker released the first images of a camouflaged GV70 prototype in late September and designer AtchaCars has used the front three-quarter shot as the basis for these renderings. In addition, the luxury SUV has been imagined in a host of different colors.
Up front, the GV70 shares many things in
common with the company’s other models. For example, it features a large grille
with a complex silver mesh design, a set of Quad Lamp headlights, and an
angular front bumper with large air intakes. With the camouflage stripped away,
we’re also provided with an excellent look at the hood that has striking design
lines and creases.
As appealing as the front fascia of the
GV70 is, that isn’t what most people are talking about. Instead, most are focusing
on the sleek roofline and side profile of the SUV that includes thick C-pillars
as well as small windows between the C- and D-pillars. The prototype showcased
by Genesis also had a set of very interesting wheels with a complex spoke
design.
The rear of the Genesis GV70 will be
equally as appealing as the front end thanks to slim quad taillights and a roof
spoiler. Underpinning the GV70 will be a rear-wheel drive architecture that
offers an all-wheel drive option. Both turbocharged four-cylinder and V6 engines
are to be expected.
