Known for modifying upscale British vehicles like Aston Martins, Bentleys, Jaguars and Land Rovers, Brabus-owned Startech has expanded its portfolio in recent years. Back in 2017, Startech began offering tuning parts for the Maserati Levante, and now the German specialist has turned its attention to the world’s most prominent EV: the Tesla Model 3.
The compact electric luxury sedan has
received a number of modifications that sharpen up its exterior appearance and
make the interior look sportier. On the outside, Startech has fitted
aerodynamic elements made from high-grade carbon & Pur-R-Rim. Those include
a custom front bumper that lends the Model 3 a more aggressive face, a rear
bumper designed in the same vein as its front counterpart, side flaps in front
of the rear wheels, and a fixed rear wing complete with side elements that
extend above the haunches.
Combined, these parts will set buyers back
€ 3,144 (US$ 3,710) in Germany, VAT included, although they can also be bought
separately. Also contributing to the Model 3’s sharper appearance are the
20-inch Monostar M alloys in a black polished finish. They are available in two
sizes, 9J x 20-inch shod with 245/35 R20 rubber, or 10.5J x 20-inch wrapped in
285/30 R20 tires. The rims come with aluminum center caps in a center lock
design that can be had in a silver, blue, red or black finish.
Startech also offers lowering springs in
combination with the custom wheels that bring the car 30-mm (1.2-in) closer to
the ground for a more purposeful stance. The lowering kit costs € 346 (US$ 409),
while the rims cost € 684 / US$ 808 (9J x 20) and € 731 / US$ 863 (10.5J x 20),
respectively.
For the interior, Startech has developed
accessories made from carbon fiber and Alcantara. The carbon parts include
steering wheel and door trim pieces, while Alcantara covers the entire
headliner, including the sun visors and pillars. Rounding out the interior
upgrades is an aluminum pedal set.
