The 2021 Honda N-One will launch in the Land of the Rising Sun on November 20. The kei-car is available in four trim levels, dubbed the Original, Premium, Premium Tourer and RS, with pricing ranging between 1,599,400 to 2,022,900 yen (US$ 15,390- US$ 19,465), including a 10 percent consumption tax.
All versions are powered by the 660cc DOHC
engine, with turbocharging in the Premium and RS grades, mated to a CVT in all
but the top-of-the-line trim level that packs a six-speed manual transmission.
An all-wheel drive system is also available in the Original, Premium and
Premium Tourer models.
An evolution of its predecessor in terms
of design, which was originally launched in Japan eight years ago, the new
N-One has a boxy design, with two rounded headlights flanking the grille, a
tall and straight roofline and a pair of vertical taillights mounted on each
side of the tailgate with the Honda logo sitting in between.
The cabin has a minimalistic styling, yet
it does feature an infotainment system, multi-function steering wheel, power
windows and side mirrors, air conditioning, electric parking brake, USB
charging ports, cup holders and storage pockets. The N-One is also the first
vehicle in its class to have a rear-seat reminder system, according to Honda.
Other safety gear includes the pedestrian
collision mitigation, collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation,
lane keeping assist, hill-start assist, traffic-sign recognition, adaptive
cruise control and automatic high beams.
