Mitsubishi has announced the pricing and specifications of the 2021 Eclipse Cross in Australia, where it’s available in four trim levels dubbed the ES, LS, Aspire and Exceed. Pricing starts at AU$ 30,290 (US$ 22,076) for the base model, followed by the two mid-spec grades that are available from AU$ 32,590 (US$ 23,753) and AU$ 34,990 (US$ 25,502) respectively, while the range-topper has a recommended retail price of AU$ 38,290 (US$ 27,907).
A single engine option is available for
the Japanese crossover Down Under, a 1.5-liter turbocharged four cylinder
making 147 HP and 250 Nm of torque. It drives the
front wheels through a CVT in all trim levels, although the LS and Exceed can
be ordered with AWD from AU$ 35,090 (US$ 25,575) and AU$ 40,790 (US$ 29,729),
respectively.
The 2021 Eclipse Cross ES features 18-inch
alloy wheels, LED DRLs, 8-inch infotainment system with smartphone integration,
Bluetooth, DAB+ radio, voice control and reversing camera, and several safety
features such as forward collision mitigation, active stability control, active
traction control, active yaw control and hill-start assist.
The LS adds LED front fog lamps, black
roof rails, rear privacy windows, heated and power folding side mirrors,
illuminated front door trim and chrome accents. Standard equipment also
includes a smart key, push-button start, illuminated vanity mirror, rear
armrest with cup holders, improved audio system and leather-wrapped steering
wheel. It also brings lane departure warning, electric parking brake, auto-hold
function, rear parking sensors, automatic high beams, rain-sensing wipers and
dusk-sensing headlights.
The Aspire has heated front seats with
electric adjustment for the driver, dual-zone air-con, micro-suede/synthetic
leather upholstery, PVC leather door inserts, improved audio, multi-around
monitor, electrochromatic rearview mirror, blind spot warning, lane change
assist, rear cross traffic alert, front parking sensors and adaptive cruise
control.
Customers who go for the range-topping
Eclipse Cross Exceed will get full LED headlamps, double sunroof, leather seats
with electric adjustment for the front passenger, heated rear seats and
steering wheel, TomTom sat-nav, head-up display and black headlining.
