The new generation Nissan Sentra has been updated for 2021 with new features and is already on sale at dealers across the nation. Previously reserved for the higher grades, the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration is now standard in the entry-level model too.
The NissanConnect Services and
NissanConnect with Wi-Fi hot spot can be ordered for the range-topping SR,
which is also available with a new dual-tone paint finish, which combines the
Electric Blue Metallic with a Black roof.
The Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite of
driver assistance systems comes at no extra cost and features things such as
the automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking,
rear cross traffic alert, blind spot warning, intelligent driver alertness,
high beam assist and rear door alert.
The lineup still includes three variants,
with the Sentra S starting at US$ 19,410, excluding the US$ 925 destination and
handling charge, and the dealer fees. The Sentra SV is priced from US$ 20,470, and
for the Sentra SR, you’re looking at a minimum of US$ 21,750. The MSRPs have gone
up by US$ 100 on all trim levels compared to the 2020 model.
Power still comes from a 2.0-liter engine,
which soldiers on unchanged. The naturally aspirated four-cylinder unit pumps
out 149 HP and 198 Nm of torque, 20 and 17
percent respectively more than the old generation, and is hooked up to an
XTronic CVT.
