Toyota has added a new GR Sport trim level to the C-HR range for the 2021 model year in Europe. Boasting exclusive features inside and out, as well as tuned steering and suspension to improve the driving dynamics, according to the automaker, it will join the lineup from January, with pricing to be announced.

The C-HR GR Sport features black inserts all around, dark chrome grille and a more aggressively styled front splitter. It rides on model-exclusive 19-inch wheels shod in 225/45 Continental Premium Contact 6 tires, and can be ordered in one of nine bi-tone paint finishes, including the unique Dynamic Grey with a black roof.

In the cabin, there are special entry sills, GR logos, Alcantara and leather or fabric seat upholstery (both with red and grey stitching), leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift lever with red stitching and a GR start-up animation in the TFT screen. The standard equipment list is quite generous and includes a JBL premium audio system, electrically operated and heated front seats, auto-folding side mirrors, rear privacy glass, smart entry and LED high beam headlamps.

Like the rest of the 2021 C-HR range, the GR Sport is equipped with the latest variant of the Toyota Safety Sense suite, with emergency steering assist linked to daytime pedestrian and intersection turn assist, lane trace assist, full range adaptive cruise control and others.

For the 2021 model year, Toyota has also introduced the new C-HR C-HIC, with four new dual-tone exterior color combos including Oxide Bronze, 18-inch alloy wheels with a 10 double-spoke pattern, Orchid/Black leather upholstery, Grey headliner and electrically adjustable front seats. The C-HIC will arrive in European showrooms this month.
