While Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) may be best known for applying its Yenko/SC branding to the Camaro, it has just unveiled a Yenko/SC version of the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado that won’t just be fast on the street but also has all the right ingredients of a capable off-roader.
First things first is the powertrain.
Slotted beneath the hood of the Silverado sits a custom-built, LS1-based
6.2-liter V8 engine adorned with a massive supercharger and delivering a cool
800 hp and 976 Nm of torque. Coupled to this powerhouse of an
engine is a heavy-duty six-speed automatic transmission sending power through
all four wheels. A big pickup truck with big power also needs big brakes so the
Yenko/SC Silverado includes six-piston calipers and 16.1-inch vented rotors.
In addition to this new powertrain, the
Yenko/SC Silverado from SVE has a four-inch BDS lift kit. It has also been
equipped with Fox performance shocks and a heavy-duty rear sway bar. New side
steps are also featured, as are custom 20-inch wheels with Nitto Ridge Grappler
tires that ensure the truck turns heads both on the pavement and along
treacherous off-road trails.
Other modifications made by SVE include
exterior graphics, a bespoke front grille, a hood scoop, custom badges, and two
numbered key fobs. Each and every unit is also sold with a three-year /
36,000-mile warranty. Specialty Vehicle Engineering will cap production of the
Yenko/SC Silverado to just 50 examples. Pricing details haven’t been confirmed.
