Jeep has introduced the 2021 Gladiator Willys which features additional off-road capability. Based on the Gladiator Sport and Sport S, the Willys Edition has a unique exterior with a gloss black grille and black 17-inch aluminum wheels that are wrapped in 32-inch BFGoodrich KM2 mud terrain tires. The truck has also been equipped with Rubicon rock rails and shocks as well as a limited-slip rear differential. There are also Willys hood decals and a retro four-wheel drive badge on the tailgate.
Interior changes are minor, but include
all-weather slush mats. However, the Sport S variant is equipped with the
Convenience and Technology packages. They add an automatic climate control
system, a universal garage door opener, and an 7.0-inch touchscreen
infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.
Like the standard Gladiator, the truck has
a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that produces 285 hp and 353 Nm of torque. It is connected to a six-speed manual and a
four-wheel drive system, but an eight-speed automatic is available for US$ 2,000.
Customers can also opt for a US$ 4,000 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 with 260 hp and 600 Nm of torque. The diesel is available
exclusively with an eight-speed automatic transmission and Jeep still charges
an extra US$ 2,000 for it.
Pricing starts at US$ 35,490 for the
Gladiator Willys Sport and US$ 39,240 for the Gladiator Willys Sport S – excluding
a destination charge of US$ 1,495.
