Last August, Norwegian aftermarket specialist Zyrus Engineering made waves with their wild Lamborghini Huracan LP1200. Because of the COVID-19 outbreak and the ever changing restrictions on travel, Zyrus had to pause testing and development of its LP1200 project. They did not stand still during the lockdown, though, as a Porsche Taycan customer from Norway commissioned them to design carbon parts for the high-performance EV.
The team took up the challenge and
developed a full carbon kit consisting of 14 parts that fit the OEM mounting
points. All the parts were produced in-house as Zyrus Engineering has an extensive
background of carbon fiber production.
After nearly three months of prototyping,
Zyrus are confident they will be the first to the market with such a high-end
package for the Taycan. Highlights include a front splitter, side skirts, front
fender vent trim, rear spoiler, and a diffuser-like element in the rear bumper.
We can also spot a set of OZ Racing HyperGT HLT alloy wheels, though we can’t
tell what size they are.
The carbon body kit starts at € 12,900
(US$ 15,330) and can be had in matte or gloss carbon fiber. The rear wing is
available separately at € 1,700 (US$ 2,020), with Zyrus also offering custom paint
options upon inquiry. The full carbon kit can be ordered now in Norway and will
be available in international markets as well in the near future.
