The Dodge Challenger enters the 2021 model year with a number of new options, including the re-introduction of the heritage-inspired Gold Rush exterior paint option that was first introduced on the 50th Anniversary Limited Edition. Customers will be able to pick Gold Rush as the exterior color of their 2021 Challenger if they go for the T/A, T/A 392, SRT Hellcat, and SRT Hellcat Redeye models. The revived color option comes with the Satin Black hand-painted hood, roof, and decklid as standard.
In addition, Dodge is offering the
gorgeous Widebody package to more variants in the range, including the
Challenger R/T Scat Pack and T/A 392, further improving their handling
performance and of course their looks. Both models feature the same naturally
aspirated 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine, producing 482 HP, and 644 Nm of torque. Customers can choose between the standard six-speed manual
and the optional eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission.
The Widebody package adds an extra 3.5
inches to the width of the Challenger and comes with a set of 305/35 tires shod
in 20-inch wheels, SRT-tuned chassis, and an adaptive suspension. Dodge claims
an improvement of 0.2 seconds on the quarter-mile thanks to the Widebody
package, as well as an improvement of nearly 2 seconds per lap in the case of
the R/T Scat Pack Shaker Widebody compared to the previous model.
Dealers can now place their orders for the
2021 Challenger, with the first deliveries scheduled to begin in early 2021.
